Some difficulties were encountered during the initial experimentation related to the technical properties of the joist produced, which tended to rupture in certain operational conditions [misalignment on the supporting surface]. This led to the necessity to redesign the extrusion screw to overcome this drawback without affecting the project schedule.
The extrusion screw, the most innovative component on the prototype line, was redesigned to reflect the knowledge acquired from the earlier tests. At the end of December, we managed to produce a joist that complied with the technical specifications and we are currently investigating the possibility of producing it in various dimensions and formats. At the same time, we launched the final design of the prototype line.
